My favorite Poem

THE DEPARTURE
Calamity, torn, you have no future,
I think that you might need a suture,
The seams, they break inside of your heart,
I know that you are falling apart.
The only piece of peace that I have ever known,
I dreamt of you all on my own,
Potions mixed in a laboratory,
With contraptions that have no history.
Hiding the pieces to the puzzle,
Your voice is silenced by a muzzle,
Escape has never tasted so sour,
But you embrace your most triumphant hour.
Come aboard the steam engine train,
there is nothing here for you to gain,
a long money-hungry railroad track,
your suitcase is so heavy a pack.
Patience is the station of your dream,
Hesitation makes you want to scream,
You smell the scent of flavoured coffee,
Breathe in, caffeine and butterscotch toffee.
The train travels through twigs and branches,
Western buildings and Eastern ranches,
The world is busy, war rages on,
With commodities and raw material to pawn.
Carnage, graves, dug out with spades,
Pomegranates replaced with grenades,
Human bodies with digital features,
Robotic and mechanical creatures.
Depart from order and it is lost,
arrive inside organized chaos,
The seams, they break inside of your heart,
I know that you are falling apart.
